The Bracia Jabłkowscy Department Store is a cultural and event venue in the very heart of Warsaw. It offers 2,500 m² of space and regularly hosts themed fairs of craft, fashion, applied art and café culture, often with more than 100 exhibitors.
In Warsaw we invite you to the full festival programme: Japanese food, martial arts demonstrations, cosplay and anime, workshops and the exhibitor zone — for whole families and for anyone who loves Japan.

Martial arts
Aikido, kendo, iaido and karate — demonstrations by masters and a chance to try it yourself.
Cosplay and anime
Main stage, jury, prizes. The best costumes from anime, games and manga.
Workshops
Calligraphy, origami, the tea ceremony, the basics of Japanese. For children and adults.
Stage and shows
Taiko drums, dance, concerts and special guests.
Craft zone
Maneki-neko, ceramics, pins, handicraft and imported goods — straight from the makers.

BJ Centre
Kimono and yukata
A presentation of traditional Japanese dress. On stage we will dress two willing volunteers from the audience.

Japanese knives with a soul
A knife demonstration and a talk on katsuramuki, the technique of peeling a vegetable into one unbroken ribbon. The one chance to see these knives at work.
Samuraj Show
Live samurai combat
Costumes, one-of-a-kind armour and live fight demonstrations. Plus a sword display and the chance to face the samurai with soft weapons. After the shows you can talk to them and take photos.

The way of the sword
A talk on kendo, the martial art that grew out of kenjutsu in the age of the samurai. Spectacular demonstrations of different techniques.

Live cooking with sushi chef Rafał
A fish broken down in front of the audience. Sashimi straight off the knife and nigiri served in the omakase tradition. You will also see sukibiki, the Japanese way of shaving off scales. A free tasting follows the show.

The history and tradition of sake brewing, with a presentation of its different kinds, straight from Japan.

Bushido and samurai history
An enthusiast of Japanese culture, and of the samurai in particular. He will tell the story of the warrior’s path from its beginnings to the present day.
